Summer holidays

Hi Room 7
I haven't forgotten you at all. I have been so busy... I have just got back from the most amazing scout camp. It was called a Pentathlon because we travelled around Switzerland by train, boat, bus, bike and walking (5 different ways!). We had to carry our bags the whole time and we slept outside in tents made out of canvas army tarps. We walked up into the snow, rafted down a river in a rubber boat, jumped off a 7m diving board, biked about 50km every other day and visited a huge transport museum. We cooked over the open fire and I even ate a carrot...
The photo above is in the city of Zürich, 20min on the train from where I live. The photo below is from the Weisshorn near Arosa, where my family and I went hiking. Yesterday we all went to the dinosaur museum and saw real fossil skeletons of T-rex, Brontosaurus and friends. I have still got 4 more weeks of school holidays. Next week I am going on a rock climbing camp for 7 nights. Will let you know how that was later.

  2. Yay, fantastic to hear about our Kiwi at large! What an amazing camp. Maybe we could do some major fundraising and come over to do those challenges! Hmm, dreams are free. Congratulations on conquering the carrot challenge. I think that would have been your toughest challenge of all.
Good to hear from you Fabian.

What's up over your side of the world?
We are preparing to go to Rainbow Skifield on Thursday - hope it doesn't get cancelled again like it did a couple of years ago. Do you check out our class blog still to see what we are doing? We check yours a lot hoping you have added more news.
    Bye
